This work is a part of her Outback series, where she loves to capture the sun in its final moments as it rapidly falls down behind the distant mountains.
The hyper-coloured rendition of the landscape is from a process Katherine follows. She decodes the colours to fabricate a new system of representation. The paintings may appear like a dream-like landscape - but there is a true authenticity to the painting.
